About Class Parents
Class Parents are HSA volunteers who help connect teachers and families and create a welcoming classroom community. We aim to have 2 Class Parents per classroom so parents can share responsibilities and work together throughout the year.
Why be a Class Parent?
Being a Class Parent is a wonderful way to get involved in your child’s school, get to know their teacher and other families, and be part of the classroom experience. It’s also a great opportunity to help make the school year special for your child and their classmates!
What do Class Parents do?
Class Parents generally:

Share important updates between the ACS HSA and families.

Help coordinate classroom events and activities.

Manage class funds for celebrations

Help plan and support class parties, including purchasing supplies and assisting during events.

Assist with Field Day when requested by the teacher.

Encourage families to participate in HSA and school events.
Most importantly, we hope each Class Parent team will work well together as a supportive, positive resource for their teacher(s) and families, helping create a fun and connected classroom community throughout the year.
